This policy explains what information XXL Sports Ventures, LLC, doing business as Liga XXL ("Liga XXL," "we," "us"), collects through ligaxxl.com and how we use it. Liga XXL is based in Palm Springs, Florida. Questions? Email [email protected].

What we collect

When you join the founding players list

  • Your name, email address and, if you choose, phone number
  • Your jersey size and preferred language (English or Spanish)
  • Whether you confirmed you are 18 or older, and your consent to be contacted
  • The website that sent you to us, if your browser shares it

When you play in the league

Liga XXL is a soccer-first weight-loss league. When registration opens, we will also collect what we need to run the league, such as contact and emergency-contact details, a signed waiver, team and game records and, if you take part in weigh-ins, your weight and progress. Weigh-in information is private. It is only visible to you and the Liga XXL staff who need it to run the league, and we never post or share your individual weight without your separate permission. Team totals may be shared without names.

When you visit the website

  • Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
  • We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers. The public website does not set cookies. A sign-in cookie is used only for Liga XXL staff in our site manager.
  • Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and blog posts may include YouTube or Vimeo videos. Those services receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

How we use it

  • To contact you about Season 1, registration, teams, schedules and pricing, in the language you chose
  • To run the league safely: rosters, games, waivers, eligibility and weigh-ins
  • To keep the website secure and working
  • To meet legal, tax and insurance requirements

We may send texts or emails about the league. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or emailing [email protected].

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Liga XXL, and only for that purpose:

  • Website hosting (DigitalOcean) and data storage (Supabase)
  • Email (Microsoft 365)
  • Payment processing, once registration opens. Card details go directly to the payment processor and are never stored by Liga XXL.
  • Our venue and insurer, when needed for safety, eligibility or a claim

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.

How long we keep it

We keep founding-player sign-ups until registration for Season 1 closes, or sooner if you ask us to remove you. Player records are kept while you play and for as long as needed for league, tax, insurance and legal purposes, then deleted.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting some records (such as a signed waiver) may not be possible while you are an active player or while we are legally required to keep them.

Adults only

Liga XXL is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted staff access with Microsoft sign-in, and reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you notice anything unusual.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also let players know by email.
